You’re invited…

Cold Hollow to Canada welcomes guest speaker Lou Bushey, Stewardship Forester with the State Lands Division of Vermont Dept of Forests, Parks and Recreation.
He will joined by Team Members from the Department for a discussion that will focus on the planning process for the Jay State Forest, and an update on where things are at, with opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback.

The Vermont Department of Forests, Parks, and Recreation (FPR) is currently developing a long-range management plan for the Jay State Forest, which began in late 2024 and will guide the forest's management for the next 20 years. The plan focuses on areas like public access, recreation, forest health, and wildlife habitats. Vermonters had a chance to provide input through public meetings and an online survey to help shape the future of the more than 8,000-acre forest, which is right in Cold Hollow to Canada's backyard.

With the Jay State Forest right in our back yard, this plan will have an effect on the landscape management of our area. If you are an outdoorsman, Mountain biker, backcountry or cross-country skier, hiker...the topic of this year's gathering will be of particular interest.

We also are excited to welcome back Lily Power's from Cafe Oma and her delicious catering services for the dinner and dessert piece of this event!

As usual, a fundraiser raffle will be included as well as the opportunity to purchase CHC merchandise. We are still collecting items, but stay tuned for the link to be announced so that you can start bidding on the wide selection of local crafts, services, and experiences that will be available.

Registration is required no later than October 8th, so please follow the link to reserve your spot!
$25 donation per guest to attend.
